The Department of Health (Philippines) officially starts the administration of booster shots for fully vaccinated healthcare workers on Wednesday, November 17.
In line with the government’s continuous efforts to minimize and prevent the spread of COVID-19, fully vaccinated healthcare workers are now eligible to receive booster shots.
Healthcare workers can also qualify six months after receiving their second dose. Booster shots can also be administered regardless of the vaccine brand of the first two doses.
The DOH also released a chart of the recommended brands for booster shots and the intervals:
Statista reports that as of November 11, 2021, there are 30.8 million fully vaccinated Filipinos. On the other hand, 36.9 million are waiting for their second dose.
