South Korean label YG Entertainment has announced it will hold a global audition for aspiring idols in the Philippines.
According to its social media post, the audition will be held at Zero Studios in Quezon City on November 24. The details of the audition state that it is open to anyone born between 2006 and 2013.

Applicants can choose one category to showcase: vocal, rap, dance, or appearance. They should also attach both photos and videos when pre-registering.
Once pre-registration ends, selected applicants will receive a confirmation email for the second audition, which will be sent on November 20th.
This marks the entertainment label’s second audition within the country. They held the YG Global Audition in Manila back in 2023. The requirements are almost the same as those for the 2024 iteration.
YG Entertainment and other K-pop agencies handpick individuals to join their training academy and ultimately decide who debuts as a K-pop star.
This year’s global audition will also be held in other countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States, and Indonesia.

Founded in 1996 by Yang Hyun Suk, YG Entertainment is among the top entertainment labels in South Korea. In 2023, its global sales revenue was estimated to be around ₩569.2 billion (around ₱23 billion).
YG Entertainment is responsible for making names such as 2NEI, BIGBANG, and BLACKPINK famous. BLACKPINK, in particular, has collected an array of allocates and broke multiple chart records.
BIGBANG has sold more than 140 million records between 2006 and 2019 and had no problem selling out 50,000-seat stadiums.
