A video clip shared on Reddit revealed Willie’s appearance on a TV program by 92.3 True FM to promote his senatorial campaign. When he was in front of the cheering crowd, he said the following:

Willie’s use of the phrase “hep hep hooray” is a wordplay reference to the game segment of the same name, indicating his confidence in winning the senator position.

However, his choice of words makes him appear comedic in the eyes of netizens. They quickly voice their doubts about him.

Arogante at ignoranteng tao talaga,” one user commented.

“Ah, yan naman pala. May Plano naman pala,” another user added, mocking Willie.

Willie Revillame is facing backlash online after filing for the 2025 candidacy. Recently, he received heavy criticism from netizens after revealing that he hadn’t thought of any legislative measures. He admitted that he would only start considering them once he became a senator.

‘Wag mo muna akong tanungin ng gan’un,” he said at the time.

With the release of his latest speech, some people believe that the TV host is treating the candidacy as a game. They continue to seize any opportunity to mock him for it.
