PAGASA: No LPA inside PAR, fair weather for the next three days

WEATHER UPDATE —  According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), there is no Low-Pressure Area (LPA) spotted inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). The ITCZ continues to affect Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, while the shear line continues to affect parts of Southern Luzon.

The weather agency reports no LPA at the moment. However, the ITCZ and Shear Line continue to affect the weather conditions in the country.

Inyong makikita sa dagat Pacifico, wala po tayong namomonitor na Low-Pressure Area o bagyo, lalong lalo na po sa loob ng Philippine Area of Responsibility,” said DOST-PAGASA Weather Specialist Aldczar D. Aurelio.

(We are not monitoring any Low-Pressure Area or storms, especially inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility around the Pacific Ocean)



WEATHER TODAY – November 21, 2022

For today’s weather forecast, the shear line brings cloudy skies and rainshowers to Bicol Region, Quezon, Aurora, Isabela, and Cagayan.

Due to the ITCZ (Intertropical Convergence Zone), the Palawan Province will experience cloudy skies, rainshowers, and thunderstorms.

The remaining areas of Luzon may expect fair weather conditions with partly cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers.

Mindanao and Visayas may also expect fair weather conditions with partly cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms. 



For the next three days, Metro Manila, Baguio City, Legazpi City, and Metro Cebu will have fair weather conditions and some thunderstorms.

Metro Davao will have fair weather conditions and isolated rainshowers from Tuesday to Wednesday. However, the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms on Thursday.
