“You’re right. I can’t do it. But you know what? I’m gonna do it… cause I’m a father.”
On Monday, May 10, Netflix has released the heartwarming trailer of its upcoming movie, Fatherhood, starring American comedian and actor Kevin Hart.
Hart is set to show off his dramatic side based on the trailer as he portrays a widower and sole parent to his newborn.
“In this heartwarming, funny and emotional true story, Kevin Hart stars as a widower taking on one of the toughest jobs in the world: fatherhood,” the film description read.
Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, DeWanda Wise, Anthony Carriganan, and Paul Reiser round out the primary ensemble.
Fatherhood is based on the inspiring novel Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss & Love by Matthew Logelin and scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform just in time for father’s day on June 18.
Sony Pictures originally planned to release the film on big screens last April 2020. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was pushed back several times until Sony made a deal with Netflix.
