Universal Pictures has officially released the first teaser of “Jurassic World Rebirth,” a highly anticipated sequel to the now 31-year-old film franchise. The latest addition to “Jurassic World” garnered media attention.
Gareth Edwards is set to direct the film, who is known for working on the films “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and 2014’s “Godzilla.”
The studio has unveiled various details about the film. For starters, Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali are confirmed to be part of the Jurassic World Rebirth cast.

According to the released synopsis, “Jurassic World Rebirth” will take place five years after the event of Jurassic World Dominion. Johansson, who is widely known for being the MCU’s Black Widow, is confirmed to plat a role of a covert ops expert. Ali will play as her partner, with Bailey set to play the role of a paleontologist.
Their characters are set to extract DNA samples from “three of the most gargantuan dinosaur species left alive.” The synopsis teaser adds that these three animals hold the key to a drug that offers “miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”
Moreover, the three characters will also intersect with a stranded civilian family, where they will come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery.

While there has been no confirmation on what the Jurassic World Rebirth dinosaurs will be, many fans hope that they will have more focus on the film’s plot. Something that was lacking from Jurassic World Dominion. Many do expect the return of the iconic dinos of ‘Jurassic World’, including the T-Rex and the Velociraptors.
Steven Spielberg, who is widely recognized for directing the 1993’s “Jurassic Park”, will serve as executive producer alongside Stewart and Jim Spencer. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley are confirmed to be producing the film.
“Jurassic World Rebirth” is scheduled to open on July 2, 2025.
