As of this article’s writing, Batanes is still under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1. According to the latest research, Typhoon Julian / Kraton will land in Taiwan.

“Julian is forecast to make landfall over southwestern Taiwan this afternoon. Due to a combination of incoming northeasterly wind flow over the East China Sea and Taiwan Strait and lower ocean heat content in its vicinity, Julian is forecast to continue weakening,” PAGASA stated in their latest report.
