The heavy rainfall and flooding caused by Typhoon Carina in the Philippines led local government units to cancel work and school classes. Additionally, the Manila International Airport Authority announced the cancellation of some domestic flights due to the inclement weather.

Recent updates indicate that the typhoon will intensify as it approaches Taiwan. PAGASA estimates that Typhoon Carina will make its final landfall in southeastern China by Thursday morning or early afternoon.
