The Voice Kids Philippines contestant Mark Anthony Punay chooses Coach Stell even though he didn’t turn for him during the blind auditions. This choice resulted in a humorous outburst between the judges and the audience.
The singing contest features blind auditions, where contestants sing for judges who aren’t facing them. If the judge likes their talent and skill, they turn around to offer a spot in their team.
After that, the contestants choose among the judges who turn for them. However, a humorous event happened during The Voice Kids Philippines Season 2 for its GMA run when an auditionee innocently chose a judge who didn’t turn for him.

This contestant is no other than viral singing sensation, Mark Anthony Punay or Macmac. He auditioned for The Voice Kids season 2 with “Kung Sakali,” which he dedicated to his deceased grandmother.
Judges Billy, Pablo, and Julie Ann San Jose were amazed by his performance. In response, they turned to offer the young one a spot on their roster. Aside from being in awe for his performance, they found him very cute and adorable.
At one point, coach Billy Crawford even said, “Sarap mong gawing keychain. Ang sarap iuwi.”
In true The Voice Kids Philippines nature, the three coaches did their best to win over Macmac. They even went to him to convince him to choose them as his mentors.
When the time came to pick a guide, he shocked all four judges with his choice. “Ang pipiliin ko pong coach ay si, coach Stell!” he announced.

His choice resulted in the judges in a comedic banter. Billy joked, “Alam mo sumosobra kana, halikana dito! Dito tayo,” as he and Pablo brought Stell to another corner of the stage. You could also hear Julie protesting, “Hindi siya umikot!”
“Mag-usap tayo dito Stell, sumosobra ka na eh!” the “Bright Lights” singer joked again. “Bakit mga hindi kasali pinipili?”
After that, Billy explained to the kid that his options were the only ones who turned for him. Macmac ultimately ended up choosing the other SB19 member and “Drowning in the Water” singer, Pablo.
