Amazon finally revealed on January 19 the title of its Lord of the Rings adaptation, The Rings of Power.
Amazon Prime Studio released the title announcement video on Youtube for the adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. On September 2, 2022, Amazon will first air ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power’.
While little is still shown on the video of the title announcement, it shows an intricate close-up of the forging of the ring. It is then layered with the voice of what may be Morfydd Clark, who was reportedly cast as Galadriel. The narration traces the origins of the rings. Moreover, the voiceover is much like the narration in the intro of the 2001 ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’ by Peter Jackson, with Cate Blanchett as Galadriel.
The story will also not only focus on the one ring, as the Peter Jackson movies did. As the subtitle suggests, it will also bring stories about other rings as well. Moreover, the official Twitter of the Lord of the Rings on Prime tweeted back in 2019, “Welcome to the Second Age.” This suggests that the show may also focus on events happening prior to the events in the movie trilogy.
The release garnered some hilarious reactions from Tolkien and Lord of the Rings fans.

✅ Thinking about the way the narrator rolled her R’s in The Rings Of Power trailer when she said Mordor
