Three upcoming Vienna shows of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour were canceled due to possible security threats. Event organizer, Barracuda Music, announced on Instagram that the country’s government officials confirmed that two men were arrested due to a planned terrorist-connected attack.
“Taylor Swift Eras Tour Vienna Shows canceled due to government officials confirmation of planned terrorist attack,” the statement said.
“With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety,” it added.

International reports stated that the arrested suspects included a 19-year-old who pledged allegiance to ISIS and lived with his parents in Ternitz, and an unidentified man. Police arrested both today after raiding the 19-year-old’s home and finding various chemicals and substances. During the raid, authorities evacuated Ternitz residents and closed roads.

Vienna State Police Director Franz Ruf and Police Chief Gerhard Purstl said during a news conference that both men had become radicalized through the internet and had specific plans on how they would carry out the attack.
Days earlier, a “terrorist threat” also delayed Morgan Wallen’s concert in Kansas City on Friday. The arrested man posted on social media that he targeted two men backstage with Wallen. He suggested they were Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes.
Taylor Swift is currently on the international leg of her Eras Tour. She will continue to London before proceeding to Canada.
