The upcoming documentary film “Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story” focuses on the life story of the titular actor, Christopher Reeve. The documentary is directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui.
“It is a gift. We’re so lucky,” Matthew Reeve expressed his feelings to Variety. “We not only have his films to look at but a collection of home movies to dig up and go through and interviews on YouTube of him to pull up. Seeing things I hadn’t seen before didn’t change my perception of him but enhanced it.”

“Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story” aims to tell Reeve’s story beyond his performance. The documentary will look at his life up to what happened to Christopher Reeve.
The actor brought the superhero to life, beginning with 1978’s Superman. Christopher Reeve played the role in a total of four films afterward.
Sadly, many fans know Christopher Reeve’s accident, which is synonymous with his entire career. The accident in question was a horse-riding gone wrong in 1995, which ultimately left him paralyzed from the neck down. While in despair, Christopher Reever soon developed a passion for disability rights and care and for the people he loved.

The documentary film will include home movies and personal archive materials highlighting the late actor’s personal life. Other footage includes interviews with Reeve’s three children, as well as other well-known actors, a special mention includes Reeve’s lifelong friend Robin Williams.
Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story will play in theaters on September 21, with an encore presentation to follow on the late actor’s birthday, September 25.
