The release date of Squid Game Season 3 will be on June 27, 2025, and will provide closure to the gripping saga that began with Season 1’s explosive introduction and continued through Season 2’s intense developments involving Seong Gi-hun and others.
To recap, in the Season 2 finale, Gi-hun makes a desperate attempt to unite his fellow competitors against the game’s creators. Initially, his strategy appears successful as the rebels nearly reach the arena’s control center.
However, the Front Man, who has been covertly operating as Player 001, betrays Gi-hun and quashes the rebellion. In a heartbreaking twist, the Front Man kills Gi-hun’s closest friend, Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan).
With that, Squid Game season 3 will continue the story following the shocking events of the Season 2 finale.
“I am thrilled to see the seed that was planted in creating a new Squid Game grow and bear fruit through the end of this story,” Hwang wrote.
“We’ll do our best to make sure we bring you yet another thrill ride.”
As anticipation builds for the upcoming release date, fans are left wondering how Gi-hun’s journey will ultimately unfold in this final chapter of the series.
The recently unveiled images provide a glimpse into the future for Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), his mysterious foe Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), and other characters entangled in the chilling competition.
