Vincent John Tuibeo, 24, of Bacoor, Cavite, made a significant decision by getting his first-ever tattoo, disregarding the pain brought by its large and detailed design.
Vincent chose to have his first tattoo on his side, making it memorable as it features his late mother’s last letter before she passed away in 2010 due to cancer.
He said this was his first tattoo, and wanted it to be memorable. That’s why he chose to tattoo his late mother’s last letter.
“First time ko pong magkakaroon ng tattoo and naisip ko na gusto ko po na meaningful talaga siya. At first hindi po ako makaisip ng design until one time nakita ko yung old wallet ko that my late mother gave to me before and naalala ko na nandun pa yung letter na binigay niya sakin 13 years ago,” Vincent shared.
“Nung nakita ko po yung letter agad agad ko siyang sinukat sa rib cage ko and sobrang nag fit siya then that was the time na sobrang decided na ko na it will be my first tattoo,” he added.
“Then waiting nalang po ako sa perfect opportunity with super excitement na maipa-tattoo na siya then nakahanap na po ako ng artist and everything was scheduled and then napa tattoo ko na po siya last April 7,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Vincent’s tattoo artist, Alexis Serdeña, mentioned that it was his first time encountering such a tattoo design.
“First time ko po nakapag-tattoo ng ganito. Habang ginagawa ko yung tattoo dun ko mas na feel yung sulat ng mother niya sa kanya, nakaka touch talaga,” he said.
“Masarap sa pakiramdam ng isang tattoo artist yung maging part ka ng storya ng tattoo ng client,” he added.
Vincent’s tattoo has garnered various comments from netizens.
Vincent also shared advice with everyone: “Seize the moment with them. Enjoy your every day with your parents! love them. Show them that you care. Communicate with them and include them in your prayers!
“Nakakainis man ngayon sa part niyo ang mga pangaral nila but believe me one day masasabi niyo ding tama sila at para sa inyo din yung mga sinasabi nila!” he added.
