It’s Showtime launched its latest segment last Tuesday, July 30th, called “Bata Bata Pick!” 

In this exciting new game, two hosts from the ‘It’s Showtime’ cast will be selected, with one becoming the ‘player.’ The chosen player will then select a child they believe can successfully complete the challenge. If the child wins every challenge, the player’s pick will receive a PHP 10,000 prize. If the child fails to complete the challenge, a second draw will determine the “alai,” resulting in a penalty.

On the very first “Bata Bata Pick!” challenge, Cianne is the first “player,” and her “alai” is the comedian MC. The former chose Kesley as her pick. The first challenge is which paper airplane travels the farthest distance. Kesley lost against Argus. MC’s penalty was to wear Cianne’s clothes.

The second player selected was Vhong Navarro, with Kim Chiu as the offering. In the challenge to extend “Happy Birthday to You,” Kulot won against Jaze. The last game is between Jhong Hilario as the “player” and Vice Ganda as the “offering,” competing against each other in a hula hoop challenge.

In the end, Vice loses the game and has the most memorable penalty of the segment, which causes his wig to fall off. The contestants involved have received their reward fairly.

There is no doubt that ‘It’s Showtime’ is one of ABS-CBN’s most popular live shows. It delivers its fair share of unique segments and fun to constantly freshen the show. Bata Bata Pick, as the new segment, has yet to determine whether it will remain or be scrapped along the way.
