Alice Guo has become a household name in the Philippines due to her ongoing case. Following multiple Senate hearings that questioned her identity and finances, the Senate has issued arrest orders.

Her trial went viral online, leading to numerous Alice Guo memes. Notable among these are the popular phrases “Hindi ko po maalala, Your Honor” and “Lumaki po ako sa farm,” which were her frequent responses when asked about her upbringing.

Among the several Philippine Senators who questioned her, Senator Risa Hontiveros was one of the most active deliberators. She firmly inquired about the suspended Bambam Mayor’s identity, birthplace, education, and more.

It was later revealed that Alice Guo is Guo Hua Ping, a Chinese national who arrived in the Philippines in the 2010s. Upon the order of her arrest, Senator Risa Hontiveros remarked,“The issuance of the arrest order is only the first step to making Mayor Alice Guo or Guo Hua Ping accountable to our laws.”

In addition to revealing Alice Guo’s real name, further evidence has been found against her, including her connections to the POGO community. Speculation suggests China placed her to act as a spy in the Philippines.

The Philippine government has gathered sufficient evidence to issue an order holding Alice Guo accountable for falsifying her identity and background. Since the order’s issuance, authorities have searched for her, but she remains elusive. So, where is Alice Guo now?

Despite an arrest warrant, the suspended mayor remains active on Facebook, prompting Senator Risa Hontiveros to call her out on the same platform.

Adding to Alice Guo’s challenges with the Philippine government, she has refused to appear in court proceedings. The Senator continues to discuss this in a Facebook video.

Following the issuance of the arrest order for Alice Guo and her companions, one individual is now in Senate custody.
