On the final episode of their Fast Talk with Boy Abunda special, SB19 talks about shipping, Stell’s sexuality, and more. In the finale, the P-Pop Kings talk about how they weren’t allowed to use their group name for a brief period.
A minute into the video, Boy Abunda dives into the controversial topics surrounding the group. This includes the main singer, Stell Ajero’s sexuality and how others perceive him as gay. To this, he responds, “Tingin po ba nila insulto ‘yun? Ako po for example, lagi akong natatanong o lagi nagiging issue saakin ‘yun. And I don’t mind if ever isipin nilang ganun. Kasi if ever man ganun ako, what’s the problem?”

He adds, “So, may issue ba tayo? Kung example maging bakla ako o anything naman na matawag niyo saakin. Kasi pare-parehas naman tayong tao. Pare-parehas tayong kumain, pare-parehas tayong dumudumi. So, I don’t think meron kang kinalamang saakin.”
Afterward, SB19 proceeds to talk about shipping. Stell shares that this can’t be avoided, and the group acknowledges that it’s part of fandom culture. However, Ken mentions that they don’t like it when fans start to fight because of shipping.
The group’s leader, Pablo Nase, commends Boy Abunda for his quest for truth in interviews. He states that it’s part of the job description. The members also share that they don’t let shipping interfere with their friendships and growth.
Stell says that when it comes to hardcore shipping, “Gusto rin sana namin siyang mabreak. Na parang, andito lang kami para maging masaya tayo. Parang ganon. But wala naman kaming problema sa mga ganung klaseng questions po o issues kasi willing naman po kaming sagutin lahat just to clarify everything.”

One of SB19’s members, Ken also added that, “Yun lang po siguro ‘yung mga bagay po, na para saakin ay hindi na po maganda. It’s because ‘yung mga tao na hindi pa nakakakilala saamin tas ganun po makikita nila. So, kumbaga, ‘yung first impression kasi may kasabihan eh. ‘Yung pinaka first impression ‘yun talaga matatandaan ng mga tao. Especially pag di kami kilala tas gusto nila kaming kikilalanin.”
“And ‘yun ‘yung nakikita nila sa social media. ‘Yung mga shipping shipping tas nag-aaway sila just because boto sila sa ganitong ship. Sa ganitong ship (nanaman) tas nag-aaway sila. Para saamin, it’s funny.” Ken added.
The group’s main dancer then said, “It’s okay, it’s alright. As long as parang katuwaan lang. But to the point na mag away-away na kayo just because of a petty thing na ganyan. I think it’s– hindi na siya maganda.”
In the final episode of their guesting, they talked about their Pagtatag Documentary. This film tackles their struggles and highlights during their Pagtatag World Tour, including how they weren’t allowed to use their group name for a while. This was because of an issue with their former management.
Aside from a documentary currently showing in cinemas, the group recently performed at a Billboard Korea event. In the same event, BINI also showcased their talents. They also released their latest single with Gloc-9, Kalakal.
