The wait is finally over for A’TIN and Gloc-9 fans. SB19 and the veteran Filipino rapper released their collaboration, ‘Kalakal’ earlier at midnight. The artists performed the track as a surprise during the Acer AIm Limitless concert last Sunday.
Since their Acer performance, the P-Pop Kings have promoted the track on social media platforms. A few days ago, they released a behind-the-scenes video of them creating the song with Gloc-9.
This track shocked fans because they performed an unreleased song addressing haters. SB19 Ken also revealed that all members wrote their verses during the concert. While this is not a shock to listeners since they tend to write their songs, their approach to ‘Kalakal’ is different.

Casuals may ask, “Ano ang ‘Kalakal’?” or what it is. While Filipinos are no strangers to the term, it is commonly seen in the Philippines, where vendors go around a specific area to look for scraps to resell and earn money.
The song’s description says, “(It) delivers sharp lyrics in the fusion of modern pop and hip-hop that captures the essence of resilience towards an industry with such a competitive landscape, challenging skeptics and critics alike.
No tricks. Just hits.
‘KALAKAL’ is a bold gamble from the masters of the trade.”
Additionally, numerous ‘Kalakal’ lyrics went viral. Each member addressed different matters in the track, leaving fans with jaws open.
Some of the ‘Kalakal’ by SB19 lyrics include:
You can’t stop this, we gonna get it
Who can? None, ’cause we born to take it
‘Lam mo ‘yan, ‘pag kami laging iba
Lapag ang ipon, ‘pag kami nagtitinda

The last line, in particular, resonated heavily with fans. This is because A’TIN invests much of its money into SB19 merch, whether as a group or individually.
SB19 Ken or FELIP also incorporated his roots into the song. The singer sang the intro in Bisaya, Ken’s mother tongue.
Tan-awa rang paninda ko sir, it’s a new type shi
Basin lang ug ‘di ka aware, but it’s a new type shi
Daghag panuway nga naninda dira pero peke na sir
Grabe sila masuko ‘pag makita nila ikaw nagpaka-real, yeah, yeah, yeah
This is also the first SB19 song in which they own all the rights of their master.
