SB19 HitFM Taiwan Interview Highlights

P-pop boy group SB19 shocked fans a few days ago when the group went on an unannounced trip to Taiwan. The group had a HitFM radio guest and an appearance on the Taiwanese survival show Atom Boyz. With that, here are a few highlights from last night’s interview.

A’TIN or SB19 fans were clueless when videos and images of SB19 at the airport surfaced online. Additionally, this happened during Typhoon Julian, when 1Z Entertainment COO Yani de Dios shared an Instagram story of harsh turbulence.

Afterward, a few posts from the Kings of P-pop’s team posted that they were in Taiwan. This was shortly followed by an official post by Atom Boyz about the boys’ appearance on the show. However, SB19 stopped at HitFM for an interview before their survival show appearance.

Pablo as a Mama’s Boy

When casuals ask, “Who is the leader of SB19?” fans might say he’s a good singer and songwriter. However, when members answer this question, they answer that he’s a mama’s boy because he always brings his mom’s home cooking.

“I’m proud of my mama’s cooking, it’s the best food,” says Pablo.

Stell Teasing Something Big for the Group

The main vocalist, Stell Ajero, says they’re planning for something big, but he wasn’t referring to “Simula At Wakas,” their upcoming EP.

“Right now, we are planning something– we can’t share anything now. But we are planning something big.” Could this be a major SB19 concert on an international stage?

Justin Running Out of English Words

It wouldn’t be an SB19 highlight without Justin giving fans a new meme. Since last night was an international interview, the members had to speak in English. However, the group’s youngest seemed to run out of words last night.

While trying to convey his point, Justin said to Pablo, “Pa-load nga, ubos na English ko.”

This caused the other SB19 members to burst into laughter, and Justin just realized that everyone heard him.

Ken Acknowledging Fans’ Efforts

With regards to their awards and most memorable fan support, Ken made sure to acknowledge ATIN’s effort, including the Billboard Fan Army 2024. An award the fandom won for two years straight.

Ken said, “Personally for me, the most memorable thing that our fans did for us, because like, without them– without that kind of effort, we won’t be able to win awards.”

Josh Cullen Finger Heart

With the release of his first solo album, “Lost and Found” the group’s eldest member restarted the finger heart trend, with a twist. However, even in Taiwan, the band showcased their brotherhood and relationship by teasing one another. Josh even joked, “Xie xie, inihaw,” which is how he addressed his fans, BBQs.

Final Thoughts

Last night’s SB19 appearance on HitFM showed fans and casuals another glimpse into the boy band. Additionally, the boys said they would be busking in Taipei on top of their Atom Boyz appearance. Check out the full interview here:
