In a recent collaboration, Filipino boy band SB19 appeared on Vice Ganda’s vlog, “BREADY, Set, Puksaan with SB19,” to promote Vice’s latest film, “And the Breadwinner Is.”
The movie, an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), features MAPA by SB19 as its official soundtrack.
Additionally, it was also featured in Vice’s group entry for the It’s Showtime “Magpasikat” contest.
During the vlog, Vice Ganda and SB19 engaged in lively discussions and games, showcasing their camaraderie and mutual respect.
The episode provided fans with an intimate look at the group’s dynamics and their thoughts on contributing to the film’s musical landscape. The five members also shared their experiences as breadwinners.

Felip Jhon (Ken) Suson, Josh Cullen Santos, and Stellvester Ajero shared that they’re glad to financially help their families. They also highlighted how their parents never obligated them to do so.
On the other hand, Justin de Dios highlighted that their success contributed more than just financially to his family. The youngest member shared that his success somehow helped his mom navigate her scleroderma.
Finally, the group’s leader John Paulo Nase or Pablo, shared that he was never the sole breadwinner of their family.
“Ako po personally, hindi ko po masyado ma-grasp ‘yung full idea ng breadwinner.” He then shared how his other brothers dedicate time and effort to helping him earn money, such as by helping him with his art and music.
“Masasabi ko po na hindi ko po maangkin ‘yung pagiging breadwinner. But, siguro kaming magkakapatid, share kami ‘dun sa bread to help the family.”
Vice then highlighted how lucky Pablo is with his family. The It’s Showtime host then provided an analogy of their success being like a table. The members are on the top of the surface, but they have their families as the table’s legs who continuously support them.
“MAPA,” a song that pays tribute to parents, aligns seamlessly with the themes of “And the Breadwinner Is,” enhancing the film’s emotional depth.

In addition to “And the Breadwinner Is,” another MMFF entry, “Green Bones,” has incorporated SB19’s song “Nyebe” into its soundtrack.
