Sam Milby has confirmed split with Catriona Gray, putting an end to a longstanding speculation.
The actor confirmed the breakup to ABS-CBN News, during the Saving Grace media conference on February 19, 2025.
When asked about his current situation with Catriona;
“If you want to ask if we are okay, we are okay. Wala kaming problema,” he said.
He also mentioned that he and Cat have always kept their relationship under wraps.
While they have shared some moments, such as their engagement, they have not openly discussed details of their private lives.
Prior to the confirmation, a video of Catriona Gray and Sam Milby being a few seats away from each other while watching TJ Monterde perform went viral.
Milby and Gray announced their engagement back in February 2023. However, rumors began circulating a year after when entertainment insider, Ogie Diaz, claimed that the couple had parted ways.
The comedian clarified he would opt to wait for Cornerstone Entertainment to make an official announcement.
Weeks after his claim, the agency acknowledged that the couple was going through “a rough patch” while seemingly diverting such claims.
Speculations intensified when the beauty queen was seen without her engagement ring and later deleted their engagement photos from her Instagram.
Milby also addressed rumors of a third party, specifically involving singer Moira dela Torre.
“There was never a third party sa amin ni Cat. That needs to be cleared,” he clarified.
The actor also clarified that he is no longer friends with dela Torre.
“Sobrang close kami before, and I guess people wanted to connect our closeness to may nangyari sa amin,” he said.
When asked about their fallout, Sam declined to elaborate.
“It’s an issue that’s really sensitive,” he commented.
It can be noted that the actor is one of the many Cornerstone Entertainment artists who unfollowed dela Torre on Instagram.
At present, Catriona Gray has not made any statements on their split.
