The exams will be conducted in different parts of the Philippines, including NCR, Baguio, Cebu and Davao. It will take place on November 09 & 10, 2024.

The exam is administered by the Board of Nurses which is composed of ELSIE A. TEE, Chairman, CARMELITA C. DIVINAGRACIA, Member, ZENAIDA C. GAGNO, Member, ELIZABETH C. LAGRITO, Member, MARYLOU B. ONG, Member, LEAH PRIMITIVA S. PAQUIZ, Member, and MERLE L. SALVANI, Member.



Program Of The Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination

The November 2024 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination consists of five (5) parts namely:

  • Nursing Practice I-Community Health Nursing
  • Nursing Practice II-Care of Healthy/ At Risk Mother and Child
  • Nursing Practice III-Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part A)
  • Nursing Practice IV-Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part B) and Nursing Practice V-Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part C).
  • The tests draw basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in the major subject areas i.e., Fundamentals of Nursing including Professional Adjustments, Maternal and Child Nursing, Community Health and Communicable Disease Nursing, Nursing of Adolescents, Adults and Aged, and Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.

The following areas of knowledge will be integrated in each of the above-named subject areas:

  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Pathophysiology
  • Pharmacology and Therapeutics
  • Nutrition and Diet Therapy
  • Parasitology and Microbiology

What to bring on exam day?

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

  • Notice of Admission
  • Official Receipt
  • Two (2) or more pencils (No. 2)
  • Ball pens with BLACK ink only
  • One (1) piece long brown envelope
  • One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)

What NOT to bring on exam day?

  • Books, notes, review materials and other printed materials containing coded data/ information/ formula.
  • ALL KINDS OF CALCULATORS.
  • CELLULAR PHONES, EARPLUGS, TRANSMITTERS, PORTABLE COMPUTERS, SMART WATCHES, BLUETOOTH AND OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGETS/ DEVICES WHICH MAY STORE OR RETRIEVE DATA/INFORMATION AND/OR TO COMMUNICATE FOR WHATEVER PURPOSES.
  • Bags of any kind (ladies’ bag, shoulder bags, attaché case, backpacks, etc.)
  • Other examination aides not stated in this program.
  • All personal belongings of the examinees shall be surrendered to the proctor and shall be placed in a secured space within the examination room.
  • The rules on the conduct of bodily search, inspection of personal belongings of the examinees, and the seizure/confiscation of prohibited items during the licensure exam (Annex A of PRC Memorandum Order No. 57 (s. 2020) shall be strictly observed.

What to wear on exam day?

  • For Male Examinees, Clinical Uniform with white shoes and white socks but without nameplate, school insignia/logo and pin; or School Uniform
  • For Female Examinees, Clinical Uniform with white shoes and white stockings but without nameplate, school insignia/logo and pin; or School Uniform.
  • For Pregnant Female, White Clinical Scrub Suit
