Actor Ricardo Cepeda has been released on bail after being imprisoned for 11 months. Marina Benipayo, Cepeda’s wife, shared the news on her social media account. The post in question is a video of herself and Ricardo dancing to the song “Don’t Be Cruel” by Elvis Presley.
“#11months and finally, he’s going home!” Benipayo stated, “God is Good! Thank you, everyone, for your prayers,” Benipayo stated in the video’s description.

Friends of the couple have sent their message of support under the post’s comment section. Those who commented include Heart Evangelista, Kylie Padilla, Ogie Diaz, and Melissa Mendez, to name a few.
Executive Judge Gemma Bucayu-Madrid has signed Cepada’s bail. The signed resolution states the following:
“Having posted cash bond duly approved by this Court, the Warden of the Cagayan Provincial Jail, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, where the accused is ordered to RELEASE the accused on provisional liberty unless held for some other lawful cause.”

Ricardo Cepeda was arrested on October 7, 2023, in Caloocan after being charged with an alleged estafa case. The meaning of estafa is any criminal offense that involves defrauding individuals through deceptive means. His stepson, Joshua de Sequera, claimed that Cepada was wrongfully accused in a now-deleted post.
Authorities initially detained the actor at Camp Karingal in Quezon City before transferring him to the Cagayan Provincial Jail in Tuguegarao. This followed complaints filed in the courts of Aparri and Sanchez Mira.
Upon release, Ricardo Cepeda showed his gratitude to all those who supported him and raised the amount of bail for his freedom. He also shared his plans to return to Metro Manila to see his loved ones.
