On January 20, 2025, BERN Agri-Industrial Inc. and Syntactics, Inc. signed a groundbreaking contract to develop an advanced Cacao Tracking, Processing, and Management System.

This partnership aims to revolutionize the industry by delivering a comprehensive cacao management solution tailored to the evolving needs of those who are growing, taking care of, and managing cacao farms.

A Collaboration for Growth

The signing ceremony, held at 10 AM at BERN Agri-Industrial Inc.’s registered office, was attended by key executives from both companies. 

The President of Alrose Group of Companies, Aldrico T. Mañus, a visionary who continuously seeks to harness the use of technology for his business initiatives, and Stephanie Caragos, President of Syntactics, Inc., formalized the agreement with representatives and colleagues  Xenia Labis, Cecilia C. Roa, Victor Faderogao, and Alfonso Alamban, in attendance. 

“I wish to continue to make an impact to the community and the people we serve through new ideas and a legacy that will last for generations,” Mr. Aldrico Manus said as both executives were meeting to sign the agreement. 

Syntactics, a leader in digital marketing and IT solutions with 25 years of experience, will drive the system’s design, development, and technical implementation. 

Meanwhile, BERN, an agricultural company based in Lanao del Norte specializing in cacao plants, will provide funding and strategic oversight to ensure that the system meets all the requirements of the industry. 

Transforming the Cacao Lifecycle

Cacao trees can take years to bear fruit, and pods may need five to six months to ripen. The new system will significantly boost transparency and sustainability by enabling users to monitor the entire cacao lifecycle in real-time — from tree growth to bean processing.
