Daumier “Dom” Corilla won Mister Global 2024, becoming the first Filipino contender to win the title. He was coronated in Bangkok, Thailand, officially inheriting the win from Mister Global 2023 winner Jason Bretfelean.

The 29-year-old model bested 30 other contestants for the recognition. This is Corilla’s second global competition, his first being the 20th Manhunt International, where he finished in the Top 10.

Results also confirmed that Spain’s Manuel Romo and  Favour Ogbuokiri of Nigeria were named first and second runner-ups, respectively.

Dom Corilla earned a Bachelor’s in Aviation Administration from Santa Monica College in California. He is passionate about environmental conservation and animal welfare.

Corilla officially entered the Mister Global 2024 pageant after finishing as one of the finalists in the second Mister Pilipinas Worldwide search.

One of Corilla’s stand-out moments is dressing up as Apolaki, the Filipino God of War and The Sun, for the National Costume competition.

Another memorable moment is during the question and answer segment. He was asked the question, “Can men be feminists?”

Corilla responded with the following:

“Men can be feminist. It doesn’t matter what role you play as long as you do it with passion, with care, with friendship, and with love.

In today’s society, we cannot choose where we will end up, but we can choose how we end up there. So, with this, men can be feminists.”

In related news, his victory also cheered up local pageant fans, who were saddened by Ahtisa Manalo’s loss in Miss Cosmo 2024.

Mister Global is a pageant event that aims to support men through its influence in fashion, entertainment, and eco-science. Like its female counterpart, this event provides four categories: fashion wear, swimwear, evening wear, and interviews.

The first event took place in Pak Chong, with 16 contestants. Myanmar’s Myat Thuya Lwin was crowned the inaugural winner. The competition has significantly grown, with participation from over 70 countries.

The pageant continues to attract a diverse group of contestants each year, highlighting cultural representation worldwide.
