MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Numerous celebrities cast their votes during the 2022 national election day last Monday, May 9.
Among the well-known figures who made an early arrival in the voting precincts were Kathryn Bernardo, Jolina Magdangal, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Mariel Padilla, and Heart Evangelista.
They took to social media platforms to share their voting experience and encourage the people to exercise their rights by casting their votes.
‘2 Good 2 Be True’ female lead star Kathryn Bernardo voted alongside her sister Kay and mother Min.
‘Magandang Buhay’ television host Jolina Magdangal, with her husband, Rivermaya frontman, Mark Escueta, penned and shared a letter on Facebook dedicated to their children, Vika and Pele, after their vote casting.
The two posed with their inked fingers and wrote on the caption that they voted for their children’s future.
Senatorial candidate Robin Padilla’s wife, Mariel Rodriguez, finished her vote as early as 7 AM and shared her being emotional while voting for her husband.
Kim Chiu also shared her selfie with her inked finger saying that she has already done her “part as a Filipino citizen”.
The Filipina actress-host also stated that the people’s decision on the election day affects Filipino lives for the next six years.
Journalist Inday Espina Verona shared a tweet showing Heart Evangelista alongside her husband, Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero, during their early vote casting.
Actress Bea Alonzo and the celebrity couple Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez also shared their selfies on their Instagram accounts.
Maris Racal, Liza Soberano, Rayver Cruz, Barbie Imperial, Catriona Gray, Alexa Ilacad, Darren Espanto, Kylie Verzosa, and Marco Gumabao are among the celebrities who also shared their first voting experience by posting a selfie with inked fingers on their Instagram pages. – WhatALife!
