Intel said that Alice Guo left the Philippines, and for this, President Bongbong Marcos promised to “expose the culprits.” The former Bamban Mayor was previously questioned in the Senate for faking her citizenship and links to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs). However, she stopped showing up to hearings, and now reports say she’s left the country.

In response to the pressing issue, the President released a statement via his official social media pages. Early in the morning, he posts, “The departure of Alice Guo has laid bare the corruption that undermines our justice system and erodes public trust. LET ME BE CLEAR: Heads will roll.”

When news broke that Alice Guo left the country, Justice Secretary Remulla addressed her exit. He says a “thorough investigation into the reported escape of Guo.”

The questioned mayor has been the subject of the many latest news in the Philippines. Her Senate hearings went viral for her responses, citing she could not remember anything. Due to this, “Di ko po maalala, Your Honor” took social media by storm. On top of this, “Lumaki po ako sa farm” and “teacher Rubilyn” went viral as well.

Additionally, Marcos says, “We will expose the culprits who have betrayed the people’s trust and aided in her flight. A full-scale investigation is already underway, and those responsible will be suspended and will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

“There is no room in this government for anyone who places personal interest above serving the Filipino people with honor, integrity, and justice.”

Before the President made his statement, Remulla ordered Bureau of Immigration Commissions Norman Tansingco to submit a report. This report is imminent and should detail how Alice Guo left the country.

In addition, Remulla’s investigation covers the possibility of Guo’s legal counsel aiding in her exit. “Let me reiterate that as much as lawyers have an obligation to protect the interests of their clients. They also have a broader responsibility to uphold the Rule of Law and safeguard public interest.”

News broke of Alice Guo’s exit when Senator Risa Hontiveros shared this in an official meeting. For those asking, “Where is Alice Guo now?” information says she’s somewhere in Southeast Asia. She allegedly left the Philippines on July 18 via Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Moreover, Rappler’s intelligence reports that after KL, she traveled to Singapore and then Batam, Indonesia.

As of now, authorities are still looking for Alice Guo or Guo Hua Ping.
