MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Pauline Amelinckx, the Philippines’ representative for the 2023 Miss Supranational pageant, has entered the Top 10 global tilt’s online challenge after topping her “Suprachat” group.
For the Suprachat challenge, the Miss Supranational pageant separated this year’s delegates into ten groups, with the victors moving on to the next round of the online competition. The delegates’ votes and online views were used to select the winners.
Supra Chat is an online challenge wherein the candidates introduce themselves and their interests and answer questions. Voting was done through the pageant app.
After the announcements of the leaderboard, Amelinckx showed her gratitude in the comment section for all the support she had received.
She added, “Thank you to everyone who watched this episode and cast their vote.”
Amelinckx was a member of the final group of competitors, including representatives from the US, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, and Ukraine. Alexa Grant, a Filipino-Scottish contestant representing Canada in the worldwide pageant, won her group and will compete with the Belgian-Filipino bet in the semifinals of the online competition.
Ten years after Mutya Johanna Datul became the first Filipino woman to win Miss Supranational in 2013, Amelinckx hopes to give the Philippines its second triumph.
The nation’s representatives routinely finished in the Top 25, Top 20, or Top 10 of the competition from 2014 to 2022. Elaine Kay Moll, the inaugural runner-up in Binibining Pilipinas, placed fourth in the 2012 edition of the world tilt. – WhatALife!/Zain
