Members of the OPM band Parokya ni Edgar are among those stranded in Sorsogon after flights were canceled due to Bagyong Kristine.

The band, who had been in the city for “Concierto sa Kasanggayahan,” shared an update on their situation via Facebook.

“Stranded kami sa Sorsogon. Di kami maka-uwi. Canceled lahat ng flights. Delikado din daw mag-roadtrip,” the post stated.

The band members also shared a couple of photos of themselves posing while being soaked in heavy rainwater.

“So naligo nalang kami sa ulan. Stay safe, everyone!” the band concluded their post on a positive note.

Netizens commented on the post with well wishes and praise.

“Yan ang PAROKYA kahit sa ulan ay kanilang susuungin,” one user commented.

“Stranded din kami sa Donsol, Stay Safe Pareng chito,” a different user added.

“Heto na ang mga officials ng barkada. Kanya-kanyang kalokohan,” another user commented on how the band members were having fun in the rain.

Parokya ni Edgar were not the only performers who attended the Kasanggayahan Festival. Rappers Skusta Clee and Flow G are also confirmed to be a part of the festival; however, they have not provided any status updates.

The Sorsogon Public Information Office has also announced that all remaining activities for the Kasanggayahan Festival province were postponed.

Bagyong Kristine intensified on early Tuesday. According to reports, the east portion of Sorsogon (Barcelona, Gubat, Prieto Diaz) has been under Tropical Storm Wind Signal No. 2. The rest of the province is under Signal No. 1.
