WEATHER UPDATE – According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geographical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the shear line will be affecting Southern Luzon. The Northeast Monsoon will affect the rest of Luzon.
Weather Update Today – November 23, 2023
PAGASA’s weather update today (November 23, 2023) says Palawan, Quezon and Bicol Region will encounter cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by shear line. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains
Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao will also encounter cloudy skies with light rains caused by Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also caused by Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
The rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
According to PAGASA’s Wind and Coastal Water forecast, Luzon has moderate to strong wind speed to northeast Moderate to Rough / (1.2 to 3.4 meters).
Visayas and Mindanao has light to moderate wind speed to east north east with Slight to Moderate / (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal water conditions.
Under present weather conditions, the Shear Line is affecting Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon is affecting the rest of Luzon.
