WEATHER UPDATE – According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geographical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the shear line will affect the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas while the Northeast Monsoon will affect the rest of Luzon.
Weather Update Today – November 22, 2023
PAGASA’s weather update today (November 22, 2023) says Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Quezon, and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the shear line. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley and Aurora, may also experience cloudy skies with light rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Meanwhile, The rest of Mindanao will encounter Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Localized Thunderstorms. Due to this, possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
According to PAGASA’s Wind and Coastal Water forecast, Luzon has moderate strong wind speed to northeast moderate to rough / (2.1 to 4.0 meters).
As for the rest of the country, the areas have light to moderate wind speeds from southeast to northeast with Slight to Moderate / (0.6 to 2.5 meters) coastal water conditions.
Under present weather conditions, the Shear Line is affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas. Northeast Monsoon is affecting the rest of Luzon’.
