WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geographical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), regions including Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Bicol, and MIMAROPA can anticipate cloudy skies, scattered rain showers, and thunderstorms from the shear line, with potential risks of flash floods and landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. In contrast, Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Quezon, and Luzon will experience cloudy skies with isolated rain showers with light rains from the northeast monsoon, while the rest of Mindanao will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Weather Update Today — November 20, 2023

PAGASA’s weather update today (November 20, 2023) says Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Bicol Region, and MIMAROPA will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the shear line. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains caused by Northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light isolated rains caused by the Northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the localized thunderstorms. Due to this, flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

According to PAGASA’s Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas have moderate to strong wind speeds with moderate to rough coastal water (2.5 to 4.0 meters).

As for the rest of the country, the areas have light to moderate wind speeds from northeast to northwest with slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.5 meters) coastal water conditions.
