WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), no Low-Pressure Area (LPA) is currently being monitored inside and nearby the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). However, the easterlies are bringing isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over the eastern portion of the country as well as Mindanao.

The weather reports no LPA for the next few days and forecasts fair weather over the country. However, the easterlies (winds from the Pacific Ocean) bring isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms to a major portion of the country, particularly in the eastern section and Mindanao.

WEATHER TODAY – FEBRUARY 7, 2023

For today’s weather forecast, most of Luzon may expect fair weather with chances of isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms. Batanes and Babuyan Islands may experience isolated light rain showers due to the Northeast Monsoons.

Temperatures in Luzon range from 21 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius.

Fair weather with chances of rain and thunderstorms is also forecast in Visayas. Temperatures range from 24 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius.

Most of Mindanao may expect fair weather with chances of rain and thunderstorms. However, areas near the Pacific Ocean, such as Caraga and Davao Region, have higher chances of thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Temperatures range from 23 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius.

PAGASA has also lifted all gale warnings. However, due to the easterlies, coastal areas in the eastern portion of the country have moderate to rough waves.
