WEATHER UPDATE – According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the easterlies affect the eastern section of the country, Northeast Monsoon affects Extreme Northern Luzon.
Weather Update Today – December 6, 2023
PAGASA’s weather update today (December 6, 2023) says Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Bohol, and Lanao del Sur will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides may happen due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
According to PAGASA’s Wind and Coastal Water forecast, Extreme Northern Luzon has Moderate to Strong wind speed to Northeast with Moderate to Rough / (1.2 to 2.8 meters).
The rest of the country has light to moderate wind speed directed from East to Northeast with slight to moderate / (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal water conditions.
Under present weather conditions, the Easterlies affect the eastern section of the country, Northeast Monsoon affects Extreme Northern Luzon.
