WEATHER UPDATE – According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the Northeast Monsoon affects Northern Luzon.
Weather Update Today – December 4, 2023
PAGASA’s weather update today (December 4, 2023) says Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes and Cagayan will also experience cloudy skies with rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon. Possible flash floods or landslides may also occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
According to PAGASA’s Wind and Coastal Water forecast, Northern Luzon has moderate to strong wind speed to Northeast with moderate to rough/(1.2 to 3.7 meters).
The rest of the country has light to moderate wind speed directed from East to Northeast with slight to moderate/(0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal water conditions.
Under present weather conditions, the Northeast Monsoon affects Northern Luzon.
