WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Southwest Monsoon will continue to affect Luzon as of August 4, 2023, which would be affecting several places around the country.
As of 3:00 AM today, the tropical cyclone is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Typhoon Khanun, formerly “Falcon,” is 715 km North Northeast Of Itbayat, Batanes (26.8°N, 124.3°E), with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center.
Weather Today – August 4, 2023
Southwest Monsoon will be affecting occasional rains within Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan. While causing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers around Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Ilocos Region and Central Luzon
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be expecting partially cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Southwest Monsoon / Localized Thunderstorms impacting areas with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Additionally, PAGASA has released flood warnings for the following potentially affected areas:
Region 1 (Ilocos Region):
- Ilocos Sur
- Ilocos Norte
- La Union
- Pangasinan
CAR (Cordillera Administrative Region):
- Benguet
- Apayao
- Ifugao
- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
- Abra
Region 3 (Central Luzon):
- Bataan
- Zambales
- Bulacan
