80s former folk OPM singer Socorro “Coritha” Avelino has been reported to have suffered a stroke and requires needed help afterward. Her partner, Chitos Santos, is currently looking after her.
According to Julius Baobao’s latest vlog, he visited Coritha. The OPM icon lives with Santos in Tagaytay after her original house burned down in October 2018. Santos met Coritha in the 1980s at one of her concerts in Escolta, Manila, and they have been together ever since.

Pero ‘yung pakiramdam niya matalas,” Santos commented, explaining what happened during and after Coritha’s stroke.
They initially believed she was experiencing a diabetic attack, but it was later revealed that she was having a stroke. After taking Coritha to the hospital, they discovered that there had been even more unnoticed attacks.
Chito further explained that he could talk to her without trouble before. But as time went on, she was having difficulty moving her own body.
