Authorities are leaning more into the possibility that cocaine use has affected One Direction member Liam Payne before his death.
According to various sources, Liam Payne’s toxicology report revealed the presence of pink cocaine in his system. It also added that this is just the initial testing and that the final results will be released in several weeks.
The official who provided the details spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief journalists.

At the time, investigators found what seemed to be narcotics and alcohol scattered among broken items and furniture in Payne’s hotel room. Furthermore, pictures supposedly taken from inside Payne’s hotel room showed powdery residue on a table and a broken TV screen.
This discovery led the public prosecution to surmise that Liam Payne had experienced a breakdown induced by substance abuse. They also stated that the musician was in a “semi or total unconscious” state during the time of his fall.
Furthermore, officials are looking into the individuals who may have sold the substance to Payne. At least three hotel employees, as well as two hotel guests, have their statements taken regarding the matter.

Liam’s father, Geoff Payne, is currently in Buenos Aires with officials in organizing the repatriation of the singer’s remains. Reports confirmed that the remains will not be released until the final clinical test is concluded.

Recently, Payne’s former bandmate Zayn Malik has announced that he’s postponing his “Stairway To The Sky Tour” following the recent events.
“Given the heartbreaking loss experienced this week, I’ve made the decision to postpone the US leg of the STAIRWAY TO THE SKY Tour,” Malik said on Twitter/X.
