The official trailer for Ramona Diaz’s documentary film “And So It Begins” has been released. Former Vice President Leni Robredo shared the two-minute trailer on social media on Wednesday, July 31st.
Robredo also shared the captions along her posts: “Relive the hope, remember our ‘why’ 🌸”

The film ‘And So It Begins’ revolves around a deeper look into the political scene in the Philippines, narrating the events that lead up to the 2022 presidential election. This film retells how former Vice President Leni Robredo and her grassroots “pink” movement go up against Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Additionally, the film also highlights Rappler CEO and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Ressa in the fight for press freedom and the fight against disinformation.
“And So It Begins” premiered last April at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and received critical acclaim. The film is now set for a wide release in Philippine cinemas.
