Millions of fans queued online on Saturday, August 31, as tickets for Oasis’ 2025 World Tour went on sale. However, many were frustrated as booking websites had technical issues and appeared overwhelmed.
The scramble follows after Oasis announced last August 27 that brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have ended their 15-year feud and will reunite for a tour next year.
Tickets for 15 United Kingdom (UK) concerts in July and August next year were expected to sell out within minutes of going on sale. Meanwhile, two mid-August gigs in Dublin, Ireland, also went on sale an hour later.

However, fans in both countries reportedly struggled to obtain tickets. Online queues left hundreds stuck, while others couldn’t access the websites.
Gigs and Tours, the website of Manchester-based promoter SJM Concerts, faced issues even before the UK ticket sale started. Some reportedly had an error message telling users to “please bear with them” as it failed to load.
Meanwhile, Ticketmaster’s UK and Irish websites appeared overloaded as millions tried to access them. Some buyers reportedly failed to complete their purchase even after hours of waiting.
Ticketmaster said its website “has not crashed” and the “queue was moving along.” In the meantime, Gigs and Tours thanked people for their patience and said there had been “extremely high demand.”

Tickets for the band’s UK concerts start at around £75 ($98), with prices rising to around £150 for standing in front of the stage. However, some tickets appeared on resale websites at heavily inflated prices, whereas some went as high as £6,000 ($7,875).
The Oasis reunion tour is a much-awaited event since the band’s lead guitarist and main songwriter, Noel Gallagher, said in 2009 that he could no longer work with his brother, Liam, the band’s main singer.
Since then, the brothers have continued their musical careers, with fans always calling for the band to reunite.
