Actress Nikki Valdez shared a deeply personal experience as a parent during her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. The episode, which aired on March 24, 2025, featured Valdez alongside fellow actress Bernadette Allyson.
When Boy Abunda asked how far they would go for their families, both women responded without hesitation, “Hanggang dulo.”
“Lalo na pag pamilya, anak… Lalo na ang anak,” Valdez emphasized.
When asked about the toughest battles they had faced for their family, Nikki Valdez opened up about her daughter’s painful experience with bullying.
The actress revealed that her daughter endured a period of intense bullying, which pushed her to take immediate action.
“Dumaan kami sa point na nabully ang anak ko sa school na pinapasukan niya,” she recalled.
Valdez emphasized that her daughter’s decision to speak up became a turning point.
“As much as I want to let her continue in that school—the moment na kinausap niya ako, sinabi na niyang hindi na niya kaya—doon ako um-act na ‘Okay, it’s time for your well-being now,’” she explained.
When asked about the specifics of the bullying, the actress shared that her daughter was pressured into doing things against her will just to fit in.
“What she told me—us (me, Luis, and our family)—was that she was forced into doing things she didn’t want to do. She went along with it para to fit in, to belong,” she revealed.
Nikki Valdez is a seasoned Filipina actress best known for her roles in Family Matters (2022), Enteng ng Ina Mo (2011), and Ang Tanging Ina (2003). Off-screen, she is a devoted mother to Olivia Ysabelle, her daughter with ex-husband Christopher Lina. Since 2018, she has been married to her non-showbiz husband, Luis Garcia.
