What is the NAPOLCOM or PNP Entrance Exam?
The NAPOLCOM or PNP Entrance Exam is a three-hour-long multiple-choice exam administered to those who want to serve in the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The NAPOLCOM Entrance Examination is administered in two modes:
- Traditionally (pen and paper exams) in NAPOLCOM regional exam centers or
- Digitally through the NAPOLCOM Computer-Assisted Examination (CAEx) in the NAPOLCOM Central Office in Quezon City.
Individuals 30 years old and below with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to take the NAPOLCOM Entrance Exam. Only a bachelor’s degree is required for patrolmen/patrol women who are temporarily appointed. All examinees are required to pay an exam fee of PHP 400.

What are the Qualifications?
For PNP Entrance Examination
- Filipino Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree holder
- Not more than 30 years old
- Must be at least one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m) in height for males and one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52m) for females
For PNP Promotional Examinations
- Patrolman/Patrolwoman with a temporary appointment due to lack of appropriate eligibility
NAPOLCOM Exam Passing Rate
In order to pass the NAPOLCOM exam, all examinees whether entrance or promotional exams must obtain a passing score of at least 70%.
