MANILA, PHILIPPINES — In a recent statement, Moira Dela Torre, former wife of Jason Marvin Hernandez, expressed her dismay at having to explain and defend her decision to leave their marriage while also justifying the state of her mental health. 

The singer-songwriter shared her disappointment at being questioned and asked to prove her worth as an artist. Despite these challenging circumstances, Moira emphasized her strong inner calling to stand up for herself and protect her integrity. She resolved to set the record straight once and for all.

 “I never imagined that I would find myself in  a situation where I have to explain and defend my decision to leave a marriage, as well as justify the state of my mental health.”

Moira made it clear that she has never employed a ghostwriter for her songs. She asserted that every song she has created is a genuine reflection of her deepest emotions and personal experiences. 

To support her claims, she expressed her readiness to provide evidence such as screenshots of conversations and recordings of her songs, which she believes will validate her authenticity and debunk the harmful accusations made against her.

“It is truly disheartening that I am being questioned and asked to prove my worth as a songwriter and an artist. However despite the overwhelming circumstances, I feel a strong inner calling to stand up for myself and protect my integrity.  I want to set things straight once and for all. Let me be clear. I have never employed a ghost writer. Every song I have created is a  true reflection of my deepest emotions and experiences. I am fully prepared to provide evidence that supports this truth, including screenshots of conversations and recordings of my song, which will undoubtedly validate and disprove the harmful accusations made against me.”

Furthermore, Moira refuted allegations of infidelity, stating firmly that she did not cheat on Jason. She expressed her frustration at finding herself in a position where she felt compelled to defend her name and justify why she did not deserve to be betrayed.

“I did not cheat on Jason. It is unfair that I find myself in a position where I have to defend my name and even explaining why I did deserve to be cheated on.”

The singer’s statement sheds light on the personal struggles she has faced, both within her marriage and in her artistic career. Moira’s determination to defend her integrity and authenticity underscores her commitment to her craft and her dedication to being true to herself and her art.
