GMA Pictures’ entry to the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival finally dropped its first sneak peek. “Green Bones” tackles the story of Persons Deprived of Liberty or PDLs. The movie stars Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid, Wendell Ramos, and more.
The film discusses the superstition that a dead person’s cremated ashes turning green means that they were good people during their lifetime. The one-minute and thirty-second teaser tackles the stories of criminals and how they could possibly change.

In the trailer, you could hear a character narrating, “Paano mo malalaman kung totoong nagbago na ang isang kriminal?”
It then cuts to another character saying, “Tulungan natin sila. O baka habang binabantayan mo ‘yan, dun masagot mga tanong mo.”
“Nagbago? Isang pitik lang gagawa ulit sila ng masama,” another one says.
Dennis Trillo plays a prisoner under parole for the murder of his sister and niece. On the other hand, Ruru Madrid portrays a prison guard who is motivated to keep criminals in jail forever. The GMA Entertainment website describes his drive as “prisoners remain behind bars, no matter what it takes.”
Since the drop of the MMFF 2024 entry teaser, netizens received it fairly well. On Goldwin Review’s Facebook post of the trailer, one user commented “Yan ang trailer mapapaisip ka kung anong kwento.”
