Organizers have officially announced that the Miss Cosmo 2024 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, at the Saigon Riverside Park. This decision was made following the stage collapse at Phu Tho Stadium.
While there are many concerns in regard to this move, this incident is not connected to Ahtisa Manalo spraining her ankle.

Ahtisa Manalo was one of the three candidates who made it to Miss Cosmo’s People Choice Award, garnering the spot on the “National Pride” stage. She also managed to clinch the first spot in the “First Station,” which gave her a chance to double her voting points for a certain period of time.
However, during a rehearsal on September 28, Manalo sprained her ankle as a result of a technical incident.
“I am well and safe. I just need to rest to make sure my sprained ankle heals and recovers for the upcoming competition,” Manalo said on her social media page.
The Miss Cosmo Organization immediately stated the incident and performed the necessary changes. However, there have been no further updates about what caused the crumple.
“Upon immediate discovery, we swiftly collaborated with technical experts, medical units, and relevant authorities to address the situation. Initial assessments confirm that there were no significant damages,” the organization stated.

The organization announced on September 27, 2024, that Kylie Verzosa, former Miss International 2016, will host both the preliminary night and the grand finale. Candidates from fifty-eight countries and territories are expected to compete on October 5.
