Actress Millie Bobby Brown is working on adapting her debut novel ‘Nineteen Steps’ into a Netflix film.
Brown has close ties with the streaming giant since it’s home to the hit series Stranger Things, which propelled her to fame. She’s also worked with Netflix on the Sherlock Holmes spinoffs Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2.

According to Deadline, Millie Bobby Brown will produce Nineteen Steps with her company, PCMA Productions. The actress is also speculated to star in the adaptation.
Oscar-nominated screenwriter Anthony McCarten is set to work on the script, with Jonathan Eirich and Nick Reynolds also onboard as producers.
Brown and Kathleen McGurl co-wrote “Nineteen Steps,” which was released in September 2023 and is inspired by the experiences of the actress’s grandmother.
It follows 18-year-old Nellie as she explores life in wartime London and a romance with an American airman named Ray. At the center of the storyline is the Bethnal Green Tube disaster, considered one of the worst British civilian wartime disasters.

Millie Bobby Brown has received two Emmy Nominations for playing Eleven in Stranger Things, which will end with a fifth season in 2025. She has also appeared in other films, including Damsel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong. She’s also set to appear on Netflix’s The Electric State in March 2025.
Earlier this year, Millie Bobby Brown tied the know with her then-fiance, Jake Bongiovi, the son of Jon Bon Jovi.
