Filipino-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto is cast as Lindsay Lohan’s husband in the upcoming ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel. Entertainment Weekly confirmed Jacinto’s casting on Saturday, August 10. He will join Lohan’s onscreen mother, Jamie Lee Curtis, in the film.
“Manny [Jacinto] plays Lindsay’s husband, but that’s as much as we can say,” Curtis said.
Lohan added, “Manny is lovely, so funny,” while talking about her co-star.
Jacinto rose to international fame after starring in “The Acolyte.”
He also gained recognition for his role as Jason Mendoza on the NBC series ‘The Good Place.’ Jacinto appeared in other films like ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and ‘Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind,’ among others.

Details of Manny Jacinto’s role in the film remain undisclosed. Disney Studios revealed the sequel, titled ‘Freakier Friday,’ at the D23 event earlier this month.
The movie will reportedly pick up years after Anna (Lindsay Lohan) and her mother, Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis), swapped bodies. There are also hints that the mother-daughter duo might experience another switch, this time with a “multi-generational twist.”
According to Glamour, Anna now has a teenage daughter named Harper. In the sequel, Harper tries to stop the wedding between Anna and the British restaurateur, Eric, because she doesn’t get along well with Eric’s daughter.
Lindsay Lohan’s previous onscreen love interest, Chad Michael Murray, will also appear in the sequel, where he’ll also be reprising his role as Jake.
“Chad is in it. And boy, oh boy, is Chad in it,” Jamie Lee Curtis teases.

‘Freakier Friday’ is scheduled to hit theaters in 2025.
