Joel Ravanera, widely known as Malupiton, recently appeared on Toni Talks to address public misconceptions about content creation. 

Known for his comedic skits and viral videos, Malupiton revealed a deeper side to his journey, sharing the challenges he faced and the inspiration behind his craft.

Born into financial hardship, Malupiton’s story is one of resilience. Despite finishing high school, he couldn’t pursue college due to limited resources. 

Instead, he took on various jobs, from working in electronics and restaurants to making sardines and serving as a waiter. He even considered dancing in a bar to make ends meet but was stopped by the pandemic.

In 2020, Malupiton began creating videos with friends, leading to his 2022 breakthrough as a content creator with his own page. During the interview, he admitted that content creation is hard. 

“Sabi sakin, gagawa lang ng video ng ganyan tapos pera na agad. Hindi po ganun kadali maging content creator. Hindi nila alam kung gano kahirap. Pero masaya.”

He also added that being a content creator is not that easy as it is.

“Akala nila puro pasarap pero hindi nila alam kung anong naganap,” Malupiton added.

Malupiton credits his success to consistency, quoting his mentor, Boss RDR: “Walang kukulong tubig sa patay sindi na kalan. Kailangan mo ng consistency sa mga gagawin mo.” 

This mindset has enabled him to provide not just for his family but also for his long-term girlfriend, Joy. Despite relationship challenges, the couple remains committed.

Beyond entertainment, Malupiton’s mission is to provide comfort to those facing stress, anxiety, or depression. 

Malupiton hopes to inspire others to appreciate the effort behind content creation while staying true to his dream of becoming a famous and successful business owner someday.
