GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures’ first investigative documentary film, ‘Lost Sabungeros’ will finally premiere at the QCinema International Film Festival in November.
The news was confirmed by GMA Public Affairs through a post on Facebook on Tuesday, October 22.
The post started with the caption: “WALANG MAKAPIPIGIL SA KATOTOHANAN”
“The previously canceled premiere of GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures’ first investigative docu-film ‘Lost Sabungeros’ is finally set to make its debut at the QCinema International Film Festival. Catch it on the big screen this November,“ the post continued.

‘Lost Sabungeros’ was originally supposed to premiere at the Cinemalaya Film Festival on August 8-9. However, the festival organizers canceled its schedule on August 4 due to ‘security concerns.’
Although it wasn’t confirmed, it’s speculated that people who were involved in the film received death threats since it’s said that powerful names in the Philippines were exposed in the documentary.

‘Lost Sabungeros’ is directed by Bryan Kristoffer Brazil and looks into the disappearances of over 30 sabungeros (cockfighting enthusiasts) who have been missing since 2021.
According to QCinema’s International Film Festival schedule, ‘Lost Sabungeros’ will be shown in their Special Screenings section, alongside ‘An Errand’ by Dominic Baekart, ‘If My Lover Were a Flower’ by Kaung Zan,’ and ‘A Thousand Forests’ by Hanz Florentino.
According to GMA News, ‘Lost Sabungeros’ will also have a gala with a Q&A on November 9 at 8:35 PM at Cinema 16 in Gateway Mall, Quezon City.
The film will also have another screening on November 12 at 1:45 PM at Cinema 15, Gateway.
