Ayala Foundation Scholarship (AFS) Program
AFS is an educational fund initially offered to the children of Grepalife employees and sales associates. It later expanded to deserving Filipino youths belonging to low-income families and cultural minority sectors.
Founded by Henry Sy, Sr. and his wife, Felicidad, the SM College Scholarship Program aims to support poverty-stricken youth in reaching their full potential and achieve their dreams through education.
Del Monte Foundation, Incorporation (DMFI)
DMFI scholarship is one of the most widely-known scholarship programs in Mindanao. The foundation provides tertiary education aid to students who wish to study in-state colleges and universities taking up BS Agriculture, BS Engineering, and other science-related degrees.
BPI Foundation
The foundation recently launched its Pagpugay scholarship program, supporting the next of kin of the medical frontliners who passed away amid the battle against COVID-19.
Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV)
AEV launched its scholarship program intending to help and motivate students to value, appreciate, and make the most of their education. It is open to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Management, Information Technology, Engineering, Communication, and Social Sciences.
Shell Scholarship Program
One of the biggest oil companies in the country offers scholarship programs for students to obtain university degrees managed by the Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. They offer two types of programs—’Gas Mo, Bukas Ko’ Fund for University Education and Leadership, and the Shell-PhilDev scholarship. Graduates would also have the chance to apply to the Shell Graduate Programme for formal training and onboarding program.
Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc
In the pursuit of the advocacy in education among Filipino youth, the CLFI launched its Alternative Learning System (ALS) program, along with three other education aid initiatives, namely, Nationwide Scholarship Program, Spiritual and Social Enhancement Program, and Special Projects on Education.
Ten students from eight business regions in the country will receive a Php 10,000 per semester or Php 20,000 per year. Applicants must have at least 85 percent GWA from the previous school the applicant has attended, with no failing marks.
Lamudi Philippines
Lamudi is a leading real estate platform in the Philippines. In its continuing concern for the socio-economic development in the country, Lamudi Philippines opens its doors to exemplary college students. Under its scholarship program, eligible students can enjoy up to P20,000 financial aid per semester. It will also offer a paid internship program to students upon graduating to his or her department of choice.
Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF)
JGF under Project ACE aims to support financially disadvantaged high school graduates, enabling them to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Project ACE, which means Improving Access, Curriculum, and Employability in Hotel and Restaurant Management Education, is a combined scholarship and management training funded offered in any of the JGF stores nationwide.
Iskolar ni Juan
The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) together with the Universal Robina Corporation (URC) established Iskolar ni Juan scholarships—open to indigent but exemplary high school Filipino graduates in the country. Through this, eligible scholars will have an opportunity to train practical technical skills under the GBF Technical courses under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The program will cover all the expenses throughout the training, including tuition fees, school supplies, uniforms, accommodations, and food and transportation allowances.
Lifebank Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship offered is exclusive for its Filipino members only.
PHINMA National Scholarship (PNS)
Established in 2006, PNS offers a full scholarship and leadership development program for college students. Its partnered schools include the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Philippine Normal University in Manila, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa.
Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC) Mechanical Engineering Scholarship
The program is open to all 4th-year Mechanical Engineering students under the “Enrollment to Employment,” in partnership with the Ayala Foundation.
Carmudi Philippines Scholarship
One of the leading vehicle marketplace platforms in the country, Carmudi Philippines offers financial assistance to exemplary students studying in the areas of Economics, Business, Marketing, Communications, Medica, IT, and Engineering. The Scholarship program will award eligible applicants at least P30,000, covering its educational costs throughout one semester. It is, however, not a year-long scholarship.
LANDBANK Gawad Patnubay
To help sustain the countryside development, the LANDBANK is offering education assistance through its Gawad Patnubay (Gawad Pag-aaral Tungo sa Maunlad na Bayan) Scholarship Program. It is an education-to-employment initiative designed to benefit underprivileged, but deserving students interested in the fields of agriculture and fisheries.
Globe-SingTel Scholarship
Led by Globe Telecommunication and its major shareholder Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (Singtel), the
scholarship program provides a platform and opportunities to eligible students in ICT and telecommunications. The program, which began in 2011, is a merit scholarship program based on academic records, extra-curricular activities, and community service accomplishments. It will grant both tuition and other miscellaneous fees and book, meal, transportation, and living allowances for the entire duration of their college years. Upon graduation, scholars will also have an internship stint in both Globe and SingTel, taking part in the management development program.
Megaworld Foundation Scholarship
The Foundation has been
actively promoting education through its scholarship program. Initially starting with only two partner schools in 1999, the Foundation has expanded to 25 partnered universities and colleges nationwide. Besides the undergraduate scholarship, the Foundation has opened its doors to high school scholarships that will also receive allowances.
Metrobank Foundation
Like every other foundation that believes education is an essential factor in poverty alleviation, the Metrobank Foundation grants a
college scholarship program to exemplary students. The foundation offers three types of programs: the Assistance for the Completion of College Education for Superior Students (ACCESS), Excellence in Teacher Program (ETP), and the Grants in Aid of College Education (GRACE). It also established the Share A Gift Education (SAGE) Program, supporting elementary and high school Filipino-Chinese students.
Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP)
SWEEP is an
industry-academe linkage program in the Philippines in partnership with 32 colleges and universities nationwide that offer ECE and IT courses.
PhilDev Science and Engineering Scholarship Programs (PSES)
PSES aims to increase the science and engineering graduates in the country. Recognizing the challenges which usually lead to dropouts among engineering students, PhilDev offers mentorship and counseling to scholars to help them stay motivated and perform better in school. The scholarship will be granted to students who are entering their second year (or upwards) in any STEAM courses from partner universities across the country.
ZALORA Scholarship
The scholarship is open to all tertiary students and students from vocational schools across the country. Aside from having an outstanding academic performance, the program also sought students with exceptional creativity and analytical skills.
